Welcome to the Mountain Magic (formerly called Green Mountain Girls Jr. Basketball) website. Using the links to the left, you will be able to find information on tryouts for the 2011/12 season, time commitments, expectations, and more.
Although we are not officially connected with Green Mountain High School, we do work closely with the girls coaching staff at Green Mountain HS.
Our goal is to prepare the girls to play for Green Mountain High School. We do this by emphasizing fundamentals and having our middle school teams play in the Gold Crown League, the highest-level high school feeder basketball league available. In spring, summer, and fall, we enter the middle school and high school teams in tournaments and team camps as the Mountain Magic Club team(s).
While we offer basketball opportunities throughout the year, our major focus is from the beginning of November through the first week in March. Some teams will play in a fall league during September to November time frame. During November and December, we play in tournaments in preparation for the Gold Crown League season, which runs from the first weekend after New Years Day through the first week in March. In addition, if enough girls are interested, spring leagues are available.

If your daughter is not old enough yet for a Gold Crown team or does not make one of the Green Mountain Gold Crown teams, we recommend that you consider playing in the Jefferson County League.
